brakes

Im having trouble getting 2l brakes on my nova,
i got 256mm disk but i cant get the caliper to bolt on without it rubbing on the disk wat am i doing rong???:confused:

Got the calipers round the right way? Left to right etc? You are using the 256mm calipers aswell? Not meaning your thick, but you never know!!

Are they the right calipers and carriers for the disks?

im not to sure really because i bought them off a mate and he said they came off a cavi, also how do i tell left or right i thought aslong as the bleeding nipple is at the top it was ok?

Yea bleed nipple at top mate do the disc fit into the cutout on the carriers ok? They could be 236mm vented carriers and calipers mind they only marginally smaller than the 256 items.

yea got that at the top and im bolting the calipers on from the inner side, do they make 260mm disk because i might have them i might have measured wrong

which bit is the carrier is that the bit the pins clip into?

The carrier (as i know it) is the part that bolts to the hub assembly. 2 long allen head bolts that the caliper slides on.

yea i think that is ok but im not sure on that, would cavi brakes fit strait on usually?

Not sure if they make 260's tbh they'll be off something newer if they do though id be looking towards haveing the wrong calipers tbh.
