can you tax a car on line if your policy doesnt start till a few days.? its insured on tuesday. but been off road but got an mot.:thumb:

To tax your car online the system checks the mot and insurance databases to see if both are valid, your insurance isn't so you won't get it.
As above. However, if you buy your tax on-line the day the insurance is valid you will have 5 days grace while waiting for the tax disc.

Theres only one way to find out!!
They check the MID for the insurance status of the vehicle, dont forget it takes a few days for the vehicle to be added to the MID so wont be able to do it the day you insure it, i swapped my insurance over to my cav on thursday and it still wasnt listed on the MID when i checked yesterday, yet the vectra still was!
i tried to tax the pug online as the insurance starts on monday 1st nov.
It came back as no so i went to the local post office i use and the taxed it so its already for tomorrow.Try from tomorrow morning or take the paper work to a post office as they should tax it for you.
