no 2nd or 4th gear on 4 speed 1.2 gear box

Hi changed my gear knob today and think i may have pushed down to hard when putting new one on! I have 1st 3rd and reverse only the car will not move into 2nd or 4th any advice do i need a new gear box? :confused:

just readjust the linkage, after you have lifted the gaiter to make sure you haven't knackered the bottom of the gearstick.

and before you ask, 4.5mm drill bit & a haynes book.

and a 13mm socket and a friend make's it alot easyer.
