Just spoke to Specky and he said he lost his brakes on the 9 sec run ! pedal stuck to the floor or something !

Unless he finds out what it is he won't be doing any full runs (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/#) tomorrow.

End of a high though, knew there was a 9 in that car when it came together for him

Thats as it is bud, was like that the last two outings at York Dragway, iirc its quite regular to him and he is there pretty much everytime, so i must go say howdo to him when the season opens next year lol

and the fwd ones? i.e civic type r, tegs, all manner of junk like that?

i dont like jap stuff....its too expensive. my mk2 mr2 had its calipers seize...£50 for ONE caliper piston seal set from toyboata.

you should try, £1k for a headgasket set with bolts, patrol FTW lol
£900 for the belts lol

He is running 20bhp down aswell his lambda is goosed so it had to be adjusted at vaux sports rolling road today :(

i'm sure it made 593 in the end gareth but as said the lambda broke so they switched it off and altered the map at the time while on the r/r.

More to come out of that car imo.
the cpl civic is next fastest with a 9.9 but i hear they have just gone bust?

iirc the only reason its not road legal is becuase of the slicks, but its taxed and tested just like every other road car :)

i tried googling just what the fastest fwd car is, and the yanks are running ecotec stuff at around 750hp & running in the sevens, but the cars are not road legal...... these 'import' cars have stretched front ends, wheelie bars, and run gm auto boxes (even the honda ones) to cope.

they had a rock festival there going back about 10 years & i was driving past to get to the big scrapyard in my tipper, and the police were sending everyone in regardless of where they were going....... so i screwed round in there with a full load on... maybe i knackered the old surface up.....

Thats correct browney it had road treads when he put it on the rollers and then before it went on the trailer for pod he had a drive up the road outside the ind est and didnt half sound and go nice thus meaning road legal enough for me lol lol
