well as i saw the car being towed of the drive to be broken for parts, made me think of all the fun, and how nothing past it at any track day, fastest car ive ever been in!! ,how much money, and man hours that has gone into the car, and i know its pauls pride and joy, even the fact that another one is being built with a few of the bits from it, its just a shame most let novas end up this way, so would all png members raise a glass for the flying bannana, and would like to say r.i.p:( ........

there are plenty of decent shells turn up on here for not a lot of money. Never any serious interest so they just get scrapped. Simple

What's the score on the bumper bottom, is it out of shape cos of the rad/FMIC?
I can remember beating he'll out of a broken cv joint at Combe on this one. Got it out in the end only to find the new cv was the wrong size.

unless its over 25yrs old...piss easy then ;) if you can find a robinhood/lotus 7 based on a car over 25yrs old (old sierra) you will make a fortune. guy i work with sold his one for £3k and believe me, it was a HEAP

The problem with selling a bare shell is, how many people can really buy one and transport it home themselves.
Now if people kept the standard suspension, wheels etc instead of immediately selling or chucking them when getting uprated parts, these could be put back on a shell. So it could be sold as moving - making it a lot easier for any interested buyers.
Hell keep the original 1.2 engine and all other bits required to make it a runner. If the shell is in excellent condition, putting it back to a standard-ish fully running nova could see you get a very decent price.
One of my all time favourites imo
Big shame, but new one looks to be better

lol i had the same when i scrapped my old Silk violet GSi, and when i sold the trailor... far to many people are willing to say, dam i wanted that, or i would of given you good money for it etc...

Agreed with the O/P, it is a sad day but looking forward to seeing what Paul builds next even if it isn't as much an animal as the yellow one
