I'm coming up to passing my test and the Anglia is far from ready so I bought this off here for the sum of £450 for my first car while I finish the Anglia. I picked it up last Saturday so haven't got alot done yet apart from blacking up the bumpers, satin blacking the grill, and adding some Pioneer component speakers to the dash for my hidden stereo. Also removed the grey vinyl strip and badges from the boot for a cleaner look, given the car a good clean inside and out Seats could do with another go really. It has had one lady owner from new up until 2 years ago when it was bought by the bloke I bought it from. He kept it garaged and hadn't used it in the 2 years he owned it other than to get an MOT on it. 67000 miles from new.
Plans are a healthy drop and to get the steels banded. The rims and centre caps will be the same orange as the interior and the centres will be black. I want to keep the interior looking factory but decent music is a big must for me so I will have the head-unit in a pod on the parcel shelf (retaining the original radio in the dash), a 10 or 12" sub and amp in the boot and pioneer components under the front seats in pods facing into the back. I have already changed the dash speakers for pioneer components. All Vauxhall badges will be changed for Opel ones. A bit done to death I know but I much prefer the Opel badges.
Here are some pics...

That interior certainly 'wakes you up' when you step into it.

Some nice wheels slammed would look uber cool :thumb:

Great looking Nova!

This has one of my favourite interiors..

Reminds me of the red interiors Ford used to put in their Mk2 Escorts (matching seats & carpets)..

Note the original service book still present in its ducket...

Great stuff....

Also tinted the rear indicators red and "modified" the badge to something more suitable :d

Cheers for the replies. It is lowered 60mm all round on Jamex springs. Yeah the rear lights were tinted with 4 light coats of red tint spray. Really happy with how they turned out. Going to try the silver and red pinstripe tape thing on the reversing light.

Glad you like it

Cheers for the comments. I was going to have the original steels banded and to match the colour to the interior but these wheels came up already powdercoated orange. They were nice quality and decent price. Plans now are to pass my test and drive it! All thats really left to do is sort out a few bits of bodywork to mint it all up.

the rides horrable with standerd shocks and lowering springs mine is like that far too bouncy im gonna get some coileovers for mine and get it as low as i can. mine is a daily drive but you the lower the better haha aslong as it goes over speed bumps

26-12-10, 12:21 PM
be careful you dont get pulled for the pressed plates

instead of putting the stereo in a pod ,take a look at joffs nova project the front of his stereo is fitted inside the sun visor out of sight you would need to have stereo an multi changer in the boot.

this is joffs

Tbh mate on a daily driver i wouldnt reckomend coilovers unless you have a sofa as your seat

Coilovers are good yes but for a daily i would say uprated shocks and springs and its far more comfortable

Thanks for the comments. My style of modifying certainly won't be to everyone's taste but to me that's part of the fun.:d

All I know about the steels is that they are Irmscher ones that have been banded to 7j.

Been looking through Joff's thread. Thats a very nice idea with the sunvisor. Alot of work has gone into that car. I have finished the stereo now but I'd definately do something like that in the future.
