its not next to the bellhousing where i thought it should be :(

Next to the dipstick on that edge? If not, its been removed, even new blocks have a number stamped there.

yea theres a number there but not an engine code ? i have suspisions that mine is a x14xe not a 16 and i want to make sure :)

Woody is there not a number on the block at the front just above the sump like the old 8v's used to have the should tell you :thumb: .

It should be along that face, If there is nothing like that, then its a recon/New block. One of Craig Green's engine's was the same IIRC.

lol Only way to know for sure if its a 1.6 is to wip the head off, i think anyway lol.
