Is it flammable? If so probably not a good idea...?

I very much doubt it...... Before the flock material is applied they use glue for the flock to stick to. I imagine the first time it heats up all will melt and get very messy if not possibly set on fire as said above.

A friend of mine had some done with some sort of crackle paint, looked like it had been flocked but can take the high engine temps.

Yes you can, get in contact with getflocked.co.uk

Cam covers (for engine noise reduction)

Sure they arent the only people that can do it, but i used them for my center console in the astra and think they did a good job

a cam cover is a rocker cover, they both cover the cam's

it still looks crap, even if that was only a photoshop, which i'm certain it was...... it'd probably get 2 15yr old lads weak at the knees at a show, and everyone else would say it was crap.... i mean, how would you go about basic servicing & de-greasing????

I stand corrected then..... You learn something new everyday! However Id want to see how long lasting/practical and safe it was over a substantial period before Id try it.

Nick.

Im with you

Too right !!
I've been thinking of getting my mountain bike frame and fork powder coated ... think i might get them flocked instead !! lol
It'd look awesome once first built, but i don't think it'd be to clever once its covered in mud !!

AlexW
27-10-10, 08:08 PM
Im on the fence with it. If done well, tied into other things, could look good imo.

mowgli
27-10-10, 08:09 PM
i really don't like it & i think if the car was driven hard, it would either melt, or set on fire....

Alex J
27-10-10, 08:11 PM
looks cool, and would soak up a good old xe oil leak!!

MattBrown
27-10-10, 08:23 PM
It's certainly not going to go on fire.

You paint them with rattle cans, an Riggys was done by Sean years ago, and drives like a chav everywhere, and you can just about touch it.

Looks utter crap IMO

paul james
28-10-10, 09:43 AM
It really will look crap soon, unless it never gets driven. Whats wrong with painting it or having it chromed, or spending the money on something more useful :)

AlexW

Its different?
