i know that nealry all novas are 4 star petrol or lrp now do you all use this or have you had the timing changed and the vavle seats changed reason i ask is becaause i want to know what i will need to do to mine when i get it i am lucky that the a station up the road from were i live that still sells the stuff so i should be ok if novas only like 4star

no you dont have to unless you have a much later engine with injection and ecu n stuff.

i thought most novas ran on unleaded m8, mine does. is yours old?

if u have a really old nova designed for lead petrol u can just use unleaded no problem.

My changed from 4star to unleded no problem. If it pinks abit you may need to advance the timing slightly, which any garage could do for you if you cant yourself. 8)

older novas ran on 4 star but to have them changed to unleaded you need to advance your timing 3 degrees due to the higher octane of un-leaded.

all nova's apart from the 1.0's are fine running on UL.
1.0's made after a certain year are also fine (1985 it could be)
1.0's before the certain date are meant to have 1 tank of 4 star put in for every 4 tanks of unleaded.

So u can fill up 4 times on UL then put 1 tank 4 star (LRP), then put in nother 4 tnaks UL and so on.
