my r1 carb manifold doesnt have the coolant pipe at the head where the std one is. question is do i need it or not.:confused:

nope. but id put a bleed point in the manifold at the same place.
i wouldnt say its needed mate just remove the pipe.

no worries. my tyhinking is, if there is a pipe there, the coolant flow will be directed that way, so if there isnt an exit, it wil just create a void of air when you bleed it. try b+q for plumbers fittings, sure they will have a bleed valve, or try a fuel rail if they unscrew. then just drill and tap it, with a little ptfe tape. jobs a winner. same as if you was fitting bodies to a k series ;)
