View Full Version : i love scrapyards
sam went to our local and found a d reg 5 door which he promptly told me about, so i go and visit one day after work and find the most retro interior ive ever seen lol cue i want :d. so i set about removing the important bits like heater vent, clock and fog light blanks from the brown dash, the passenger mirror blank  and undid all the dash board ready for the trip back to completely strip it.
so i went back friday in the van and arranged for sam to meet me there, i quite litterally took the whole interior plus the proper mint early tailgate, one piece front bumper and carb.
anywho
i set it all out lol

the red one isn't the track saloon, the blue one is. i just like to abuse the red one and thrashing it round a track seemed a good way to abuse it

Good find Burgo! Is the rear seat one piece? may be interested if so.
it is but that is also destined for the saloon so i can cut the bulkhead out. the brown door card and boot trim set is up for grabs

Got phonecall last night from a friend who's dad owns local scrap merchants. He told me nova came in so I went to have a look today and is a minter. Shell is solid everywhere other then one small patch back of sill, done 60,000 or there abouts. Only problem is it was a mk2 j reg 1.2 so nothing on it I want/need other then the shell but they can't let that go once booked in. If I have time and it hasn't been prossessed I might go cut rear quarters off :s and grab the boot.
