STILL engine problems

i had problems earlier and asked you lot and did what u thought but still probs!

ive checked petrol pump, usual things, petrol filter cleaned carb and it still shuders when accelerating!

what ive noticed is just before it starts playing up theres a crackling interfence on stereo (even when cd playin so cant be reception) then it starts goin dodgy again!

any ideas

when interferance happens like that its because of a spark, imagine if you hold light switch in your house between off and on, you get the same on teles, radios, and computer speakers.

check coil, dizzy and broken wires or leads?

should also say it starts to occur when the engine is warm after bout two miles :?

i still think its electrical - perhaps when its warm it breaks the contact of whatever it is?

try another one from a slavage yard or a new one even

just got a quote for new coil 20 quid sounds resonable, are they easy to fit?

2 bolts / screws through the body work and either 3 wires or one big clip with the three wires in.........

changed coil still no difference!been told its muck in the carb could this be right? :?

thought you had cleaned the carb?


things, petrol filter cleaned carb
trace all the wires round the engine an see if any are loose or have been burnt through the casing

could be - look at ades problems for example........

yeah did clean carb but got RAC out and they said it needs strippin down and cleannin i just sprayed carb clener on i etc.

problem solved.

took it to garage and it needed new condencer to much spark going through causing cracking and corrosion of ht leads!

new dizzy cap and rotor arm a filter in the carb,barb stripped and clean,
timing etc

all together 100 quid out of pocket but its running sweet!
