1.4sr engine

Right ive finally dropped the 1.2 engine out n put the 1.4sr engine in (using just a friggin jack!! so im fukt now)..got everythgin connected..apart from the coil,which was off the 1.4engine1..does anyone have any idea of how to wire it up to the exisiting loom?? also theres one extra wire coming from the 1.4 engine (from the back, i think it mite b something to do with the speedo or somethign) anyone know where i connect that to?? well cheers anyway..hope it makes sense cos it doesnt to me!!

What colour is your extra wire, and where exactly does it come from? Back of the Engine could be a few things

coil wiring
green to rev counter if you have one
black to black on old coil (+12V)
brown to ground -took mine down to the gearbox - chassis connection
