if you mean an seh, then if it was in good fettle, about 135hp at the moment, you could do the head, & cam, or turbo it.

i was thinking SEH.

with a cam & head, it would be into xe territory but trying to get much more will be costly. not many people do tuning stuff for the old 8V, compared to XE stuff

ser is an seh without the cam.

Actually the pistons and ECU are different too

And there isnt such a thing as an SER??

There are 2 versions of the 2L 8v - the SEH - 130 bhp and the NE - 115 bhp

oh and these are 2.0 8v ohc codes:
20ne
c20ne
20seh
20ser
20se
c20se
x20se
c20get
c20sel
c20ge - daewoo code, good for a turbo....

a lad on mig used a x20xev bottom end with an seh cam and head and ecu etc. made 157bhp on the rollers. needed 99 octane or it pinked like fook....
