Hi all.

Basically Im having the rear coilovers to match the front ones, but was wondering, how low can you wind them too?

Any pics with them right down?

Idealy want to go down 90mm as the car is stripped out, so will sit about 75mm:thumb:

Running that low will handle like a turd on ice, they will go plenty low enough lol

I don't want the short bodied ones Adam.

I just want to be able to go 60mm for track, and slammed for shows etc.

I said i wanted to be able to go down to 120mm -

He laugh and said the wheels wont turn, i said let me worry about that.

I have extra short custom made pistons so i can run it stupidly low with no probs with the shorter bodies. So they wont bottom out or anything.

If you want them low, then you want short bodies.

I raise mine up 50mm for track day usage.

So, Benn, what do yours go upto on full height?

I may order mine the same as yours, and run them high for track, and silly low for show.

How much where yours? I already have fronts.

I also have the short bodied ones, you will struggle to go more than 60mm on the long bodied ones without running out of suspension travel.

Mine are three threads off the lowest setting but I have long springs. It would go up to standard suspension height if needed as the wheel comes down about that far when jacked up.

I paid £200 for just the rears.

I have a 6inch open length spring, at track hight it's 140mm from the bottom of the threads on the body.
Which is this...

If i wound them right up it would jack the ass right up in the air. Drag style.

Sadly i got mine a month before the group buy, did it thru Rally Design as not many place did them then, and paid £589.

When mines at show height, if i jack it up on the beam, the wheel wont come off..lol I have to have the beam free to drop right down.

lol

I know what you mean.

The next job is adustable topmounts, but someone said I need to have the shafts machined?

Benn

Yeah the top will need machining or shimming. I got a set of top mounts from Jon and he had had shims made so they'd bolt straight on.

Edd

Slightly off topic

But will the adjustable top mounts fit on my Bilstein's then ?

Do all shocks need machining/sleaves added to use the top mounts ?

How gay, why teh fuk not make them fit like standard topmounts?

Mine fitted like standard top mounts, didn't need any mods but i've not seen many sets like mine.

Not really, a bit of turning down isn't hard. Gaz in my eyes are still one of the best on the market.

Depends if they have been machined to give extra thread on the front damper rods.....
