View Full Version : Private reg qeustion
Simple qeustion, a non age related private registration, Eg: 25 ML
Can this be put onto any age vehicle, or is a case of new style or old style prefix only?
any car i would say, think of all the new posh rich people who have simular on their new cars
As it's "age less" it can't make an old car look newer, so it can go on any car.

This is why im asking, but I was behind a POS old Subaru thing earlier with 68 MR or something equally as random on it.
but you need some major bucks at a guess that reg would be £25kish
I wanted BP 80 and that was £100k ****ing Oil exec's
i dont get reg plates, the less numbers the more they cost.
and the gayer they look lol

Very acurate description of its owner then....
You can put any reg on any car provided it doesn't make the car appear newer IE you cant put a K prefix on a G prefix car etc.

Can you just put your own numbers and letters in etc? I'd like a suffix style one, but I don't know how much that will cost... Any ideas?
i think you can only buy them off reg dealers.
i saw somewhere a woman had found a brand new unregistered mgb in the back of a dealership.. so she bought it & got it registered.. with a prefix reg.. it looked really odd.

You sure VEE was a personal reg mate ? I remember that 6R4 from years and years ago and it's always had that same reg
It followed behind us going from stage to stage on years! What an aggresive looking and sounding car it was/is :)
Yep it is It was on the car when John burns owned it and my boss bought the car but the reg didnt come with it so its now on a normal C reg
Tis the metro that been extended by 7inchs still got proper metro engine as well 400bhp from a n/a engine :)

Im lost, all our numbers are forsale on there?
Then you transfer them off the vehicle, streight to the buyers.
a reg number can be on retention, so it is between cars........
im tempted:

I know, but it in no way says its not on that fellas car?
when you google the reg number, you find a pic of it on reg transfers smart car which is covered in signwriting...... thus it is available for sale.......... it used to be steve parrish's & was on a 911 turbo

Or keep the car SORN like me and avoid yet another DVLA charge. :)
