I'm running my main pc with all the tracks on a hard drive as my main hub. I have Apple TV streaming from that. I also have my laptop as a shared device/library.

One morning I was bored and went through my whole library fixing all the genre's, making playlists etc. But I did it on the laptop not the main pc - doh! How do I now sync all the changes on the laptop to the main pc?

The library content is identical on both machines other than the genre changes & added playlists on the laptop. The PC also has all my dvd/video content on whereas my laptop does not (not needed and takes up too much space!).

Any helpers?? Thanks.

You should be able to transfer these 2 files (assuming you're not on a Mac) http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/muckingfuppet/9a517142.jpg

Go on your local network, go to iTunes Preferences/Advanced and then CHANGE the target location for ITunes to seek the data. Tell it to go to the default computer or file server on the network, Otherwise simply copy and paste Itunes Music folder from your User Profile/Music /ITunes folder.

Can you expand on that please Jensen?

Tell the PC in preferences to take the data from the laptop itunes folder or just copy the files as above?

Ditch the apple tv buy an airport express and use your iPhone to control the audio from the appropriate computer.

I'm lovin the apple tv. got it unlocked and its a great bit of kit I think. the airport express is only a router so wont have an hdmi hookup to the tv.

3.5 jack to phono or a optical cable straight to your amp. Great bit of kit. Apple TV is great though, New one is immense!
