1.6 Courtenay Turbo Engine

1.6 8V Vauxhall Turbo engine.
Here for sale is my fully rebuilt Vauxhall Nova 1.6 GSI/GTE Courtenay Turbo engine.
This engine has had a lot of work and money spent on it to get it to a decent spec and make it 100% reliable with most parts being replaced.
Has had all new gaskets fitted Including:- Sump (x2 baffle plate), Head gaskets (Compression plate) Rocker cover etc.
Also New Core plugs, Piston Rings, Oil stem sills, Cam followers, Inlet and Exhaust Valves Fitted.
Engine has also been treated to a few uprated parts to make it stronger
· ARP Rod Bolts
· ARP Flywheel Bolts
· Uprated, high capacity Oil Pump
· Double Valve Springs
· Heavy Duty Big Ends
· Uprated, high capacity Water Pump

The Engine also has a ported and polished head.

The Standard Flywheel has been Lightened and Balanced to aid acceleration.

The Courtenay turbo kit consists of a Courtenay exhaust manifold to fit either a T2, T25,T28 Turbo, Engine comes with a reconditioned Garrett T2 turbo. Also included is a custom downpipe to fit the turbo, and a compression plate (this is already fitted)
Also Included in the sale is a 13row Mocal Oil Cooler and Brand New K&N induction kit.

As you can see from the pics the engine has also undergone some cosmetic changes, the block has been treated with Red oxide primer and a gloss coat of Heat resistant black.
The Camshaft housing had been chemically stripped and Powder coated yellow.
Both the Inlet manifold and Rocker Cover have been Chromed.

Theres a few little bits needed in order to get the engine running, these include:-
* Coolant Hoses (any 1.6 8v hoses will do)
* Intercooler and pipe work.
* manifolds, turbos etc need bolting on.

has this got any an engine loom ecu afm etc and has this been run sice it was turbod regards brett

I've got a set of Samco silicone coolant hoses for a 1.6 8v on EBAY...........

The engine has been run since the turbo conversion. has just undergone a rebuild to make it stronger, was planning to refit it, but as with most Nova's the shell became rotten.

I have the ECU that used to run the engine, but no loom. its the siemens ecu.
Most sensors are missing as they were attached to the loom which got scrapped with the car, but nothing that cant be source or taken from any other 1.6 8v engine.
