Ok i have just re built my sr lump ie new water pump valve stem seals all gaskets and core plugs. Did a comp test before hand was all ok i have a lil k&n on my crankcase pipe it seems to bee loosing oil threw this pipe as in im toping up every few weeks any help ive been told i need an oil catch tank ?

Is it the one from under the inlet? If so it sounds like the engines breathing too heavy as there shouldnt be oil coming out of there:tard: .

Oh dear not good then. i have a spare lump at least. Bit gutted mind just bought some bike carbs.

Before you start ripping it apart, check your other breathers - like the one on the cam carrier/cover.

How many miles has it done?

blocked breathers can casue the one thats not blocked to breathe hard...

the one behind the inlet manifold is very bad for sludging up. take it off & clean it before ripping the engine apart.

ye check all the breathers before taking apart! Compression test would have shown up worn rings

Gutted............driving her today to drop off a peirburg carb for a guy on hear and looks like i may have done in two rings on 3 and 4 both plugs are sparking fine but all i get is blue smoke?. Any comments would be apriciated.i even changed plugs and put fuel down the chambers?
