How much do you reckon it would cost to have a set of 40's rebuilt/serviced/freshened up

A check over, change whatever needs changed and also have them re-jetted for a 1400 8v

Just need some ideas

Thinking about sending mine away

Cheers, Vaughan :)

Buy parts and do it yourself.

Service kits are around £30 IIRC, jets and chokes will set you back around £80

Jets etc is something that need tweaking on a RR.

Rebuild kit is about a tenner, for the gaskets etc.

What would you actually change at service as I had mine in bits last week to clean and there wasn't really much to them lol

I'd rather send them away and get them done - There's a bit 30 mins from my house thats a Weber specialist :)

I've not got a clue when it comes to bits like that and I'd rather them done right :)

Easy enough to do yourself;)

The Sport carbs I have fitted to the SR, were carefully stripped, soaked in a bath of Petrol, (No smoking mindlol )

Cleaned all the residue off, carefully scraped any stubburn dirt off,

Reassembled with the new gaskets, filters needle, etc.

Very easy.

if you want to send them off, try fastroadcars or something on ebay
