Nova & Corsa ignition barrels

I have a Corsa EPAS column in my Nova. The ignition barrel snaps in nicely however I'm struggling to get the black/white ignition switch to fit to the back of it.

Does anyone know if the barrels are interchangeable and it should work, or whether I need a Corsa barrel, key and associated switch?

I'm sure they are, sure i have a Corsa one in mine.

i assume the slot in the switch is in the off position when your trying to put it on so it fits the lock. simple thing i know but ya never know. also have you got both of the little screws out?

Yeah making sure the shape lines up Mr Burgo. One screw comes out but the other one doesn't on this column for some reason (no screwdriver head just a pin), but luckily that tab on my ignition switch was broken anyway.

Was getting a bit confused about how the lock pings in and out when you remove the key, and somehow I have sheared the pin on the barrel by twisting it while engaged with the switch lol D'oh
