what a stupid idea they are now, the old boy got a new one, and a slice of bread dont even fit in it either way so you only get half a toasted slice! whats the point:mad: , to make matters even worse its the 2nd toaster we have brought that bread dont fit in!! has anyone else had this??????

I know exactly what you mean. It's ridiculous. Didn't they take the size of a standard slice of bread into consideration whilst working out the dimensions?

well i cant use my toaster, it had an on off switch, that switch is now in the car, wait till some one wants to use it as i put it back lol

F**k using the grill, take 10mins get warm lol

But indeed my toaster has the same issue, meaning i have to flip the bread round half way through the toasting process to evenly toast the bread.
I think i made that sound quite technical.

Exactly, none of this poverty spec twin shot toaster malarky, but err how did you all make your toast before toasters became commonplace in the kitchen?

Dependent on bread width and/or length sometimes the slice has to bent a tad to fit the space, and then the OEM eject mechanisim isn't up to the job so I have to brave the inferno.
I tend not to worry about it though.
