Very nice mate.

Shame a mk1 had to die though. lol Also, standard style clear side reps FTW IMO.

I do apologise to the mk1 nuts, she was already facelifted when i bought her but she was just a wee 1.2 carbed and standard apart from the facelift

But sort that horn out for god sake lol

Benn

Different side repeaters on each side? lol

Looks very nice, get some bonnet lifters tho dude...

Deanosri
15-10-10, 06:19 PM
Haha the first picture was taken when I finished the build prior to the bump, which is when the side repeaters were changed. The horn has since been relocated into hiding;). And as for bonnet lifters, it came with some of them stupid things that flung the bonnet up with a bang, fouled on the wings and IMO looked pap. If anyone does have a spare bonnet stay id love onelol

Thanks very much. I am wanting to change the air filter as its fouling on the strut top. The interior consists of a digi-dash, GSi door cards and dash, Raceland adjustable bucket seats (suede and leather), half roll cage bolted in, Richbrook gearknob and door pins, OMP suede steering wheel, eleccy windows and SRi sun visors

Bottom end rebuild, balanced crank, standard flywheel lightened and balanced, port and polish, Kent NVO61K cam kit(full kit including lifters, valve springs and retainers, adjustable cam pulley and competition cam belt), full Sportex exhaust system for an early non-cat GSi 4-1 manifold and 3inch flared chrome tip.

That's decent power for relatively few mods :)

Very nice, shame about the facelift but i can't talk! Is the boot a different shade of white? Might just be the photo..

Nice spot Benn!

Deanosri
15-10-10, 06:49 PM
Yeah the freshest pics were taken the day after it was repainted and the whole drivers side and bootlid were a slightly lighter shade but they've come to now after plenty of polish

Nice, but your rear plate isn't in the centre of the recess and it's on the p*ss!

Deanosri

I know its on my 'to do' listlol along with paint my new bumpers and skirts to be fitted.

Move your harnesses from mounting on your C pillar, need their own mounting points on the floor behind the rear bench idealy, or around a (welded in) rear strut brace / belt bar.

Power is a bit 'keen' for that spec - but as long as you're happy!

Shell looks straight though!

Deanosri
15-10-10, 07:38 PM
Fuels not regulated so it is overfueling but ive the proven printouts to back it up. Shells only done 52k

So is it running on completely standard fuel injection? What's it like to drive with that cam?

I think the front end looks stunning!

Yeah it is apart from fuels not regulated at the moment. It ticks over real lumpy but drivings spot on, it comes in at 2k and is real smooth right through the range but driving in traffics an absolute nightmare:mad:

I can verify the power output Deanos quoted as I watched it on the rollers!

All the Mk1 nuts are right though mate she needs to be brought back to her original MK1 front end... Would top it off!

Love this motor me, awesome for a 14
