i want to paint my redtop block and gearbox etc before i drop it into my nova.

has anyone any pics of theirs so i can get some ideas.

what kinda paint did you use??

hammerite gloss is best, lots of colours and it gives excellent coverage. looky:

I just used black hammerite to paint the block and cam carrier of my 14se, applied it with a brush. One of my mates has painted his redtop block with white hammerite.

white hammerite then paint any colour you want on top :)

mine was done with 2pac - DONT do this, it all peeled off with the heat lol then it was halfords spray cans ftw :thumb: the plug over is wrinkle paint

When you say hammerite is it just basic paint? Iv just searched google hammerite White paint??

How much did you pay for powder coating??

Be careful when powder coating. If it gets inside the covers and flakes off expect death to your engine!

I painted my block and head with hammerite. Black block and silver head. Got a polished rocker and cambelt cover. Spray cans will suffice for these IMO.

How much did you pay for powder coating??

10 quid for the hammerite and about 40 quid to get the covers powdercoated in candy blue.
