Yes, heres another one. :roll:
Heard about this old thing from my father in law, he was asked if he knew anyone that would be able to take it away for scrap and so the cheeky begger thought of me :d
Has been kept in a garage for the last 7 years covered in junk, tax ran out in october 2000 so has been off the road a while. We went up last night and removed the junk to find this. Flat tyres, brakes all seized on, no fuel, no battery. So we managed to free off the brakes enough to pull it out the garage but unfortunately didnt have enough juice to get it going. So out came the tow rope and we dragged it up to the unit.
So today i fired a battery on it and put some fuel in her, after a few knocks on the starter it turned over and eventually it fired up. Ran sweet considering its not ran for many a year. Dont know what model it is but its a 1.2 4 speed.
Took some pics of it before i give it a throurgh clean and get it up on the ramp to inspect it. So far though its not lookig too bad, arch's, tailgate, doors & bonnet have some surface rust on but nothing a good rub down and treat wont sort. Wings have kinda had it, boot floor has a hole in it and the landing panel isnt too healthy but the crossmember and chassis legs look to be ok.
So plans all being well are to turn this into some sort of a track weapon and keep my Lregy for the road and shows when its done :thumb:
