View Full Version : 2ltre calibra brakes
does anyone no whever 2ltre brakes of a calibra will fit behind 14 inch gte 3 spokes?
also do corsa rear strut braces fit novas as i am struggling to fing a nova 1 but there are loads of corsa ones.
thanks andy
Dont know about the brakes under 14's but I guess they probably would. Corsa braces are to wide, but you can mod them to fit with ease.
been asked 40 gazillion times use the search.
2ltre brakes sould sit under the 14s
they wont fit under 14" gte 3 spokes unless you grind them down alot
Yes, and no. lol
Some people say they fit, some don't. Probably due to the 3 spokes coming in two offsets, 47.5 and 49.
i have no idea so just wanted to check. so corsa b rear brace wont will unless modified?

Correct, needs shortening. TBH braces are pish easy to make yourself anyway.
rite well i dont no now because sum people say they will fit and others say they wont. has anyone got 2ltre brakes behind 14" gte wheels?
have you read the thread?
Also have you read the rules... no text typing.
Getting hacked off with it now so for any text typing offenders its 4weeks MINIMUM in the sin bin!

NO they wont fit as standard !! if you get some wheel spacer they will
GTE 3 spoke = 4 j x14
Cav steel wheel = 4.5 j x14
hope this helps !!

im not saying they wont fit under the 14" its the width you need to worry about !!!!!!!!! back in 97 i had these wheels on with a 47.5 offset and they scrubbed the caliper ! thats when i was using the old GTE delco brake set up !!!!! with ATE the caliper sits out further !
wait till you put new pads in mofo
lol Your info was wrong and posted just below a picture contradicting it all - it was funny. No need to get arsey
Besides I'm the happy owner of some butchered 256's that just fit under my speedlines.

p.s I'm 32 :thumb:
gte wheels are 5J 14" with 47.5 offset as shows in the picture danny posted. look at the writing between the wheel nut holes. mine are also the same as i have just checked so the brakes should fit under them. but feel free to correct me if in wrong.

I had those wheels fitted to my old corsa mate to transport it and they caught on the brakes. Im sure it will just need the caliper grinding down a bit though.

Look at the reply above this lol The wheels i sold you, ie. the ones you are referring to, have been tested if they fit or not over the brakes.
I had to move my corsa from my unit to my new house years ago and had it sat there with the gsi wheels on. It wouldnt move so i had to put some bigger steelies on the front.
GSi on the back, Steelie on the front :wtf:

am i correct in thinking?????????????
256 discs and calipers will fit, BUT only if the pads
are half worn, if the pads are new they catch
on the alloy?????????????????
use the 256x20 mm set up off corsa sports. The wider 24mm disc set up won't fit.
cheers for everyones help. so i should get corsa sport bakes as they will fit no problem?
