ah well live and learn, my mates oil cooler hose went on his LET, so I just took it to pirtec in paisley and the guy made it up there and then using the old hose as a template for lenght, done it in steel braid aswell so it's well protected.

Old cars FTW. But a hose from Pirtek or similar would have been a fraction of the cost.
You live & learn.
Exactly the reason my brother in law has never bothered to fix the same pipe on his GSi

That's what you get for going manufacturer. We've ben quoted £275 for a ICV for an Cav SEH, £450 for a throttle body on the same engine (not including the hrottle sensor or cable or gasket), £60 for a 20cm rubber pipe for the Cav power steering.
Thank god for them bits actually not going wrong lol
Power steering? lol
+1 lol
If you're feeling hard done by just be thankful you don't own a Jap or German motor, 99% of the time they are way more expensive for parts.
I once got quoted £900+ for a pas pipe for a 1.4 clio lol
Scrap yard me up landlord!

Jap seems to be expensive for anything, poly bush set all round set of 30 odd for a nova £150 maybe, set of 4 for a new scooby demands £400 or something stupid in a Banzai mag I was reading, and they were calling it a bargain!
