spec was GTE shell
standard c20let running standard boost and f20
15' cesaros
gsi dash with horrible calibra leather lol
284mm brakes
the oil cooler was wedged under the front reg plate ad hanging half out of the front :tard:
and frontera cooler behind bumper gettin f**k all air

to be honest mate its been spot on, had 6 months abuse on standard boost then added evo5's and fuel reg and been runnin 1 bar since for 6 months with no problems apart from clutch dyinglol

it ran 13.4 at pv with dead turbo and clutch and made 248 bhp with dead clutch and turbo lol ordering hybrid kkk and uprated cams at end of month, rang u earlier after a f28 mount if you got one? if not col said would do the leg to accomodate f28:thumb:

yeah danny thats the mod, im getting a second shell for anopther build with the same mod done to it from col, i want the option of f20 if the f28 dies so thats prob the best idea as i know ill kill the f28 lol

mine gone for running a f28 or f20 when dave had it to running a f13 now so yo can drop any box in with out expensive mount's been involved = win for when i wont a xe with f28

i ran about in the car for about 6 months until i got pi$$ed off with the intercooler/oil cooler sitsuation

removed front end and oil cooler literally fell off lol

marked out where front panel needed adjusting lol and my old man set about it with the grinder

trial fitted new plate to lower intercooler but still need a little 'adjustment' lol

we stitched the new panel in stitchin each weld at opposite ends so not to distort panel/set car alight with heat lol

finished welding ten sealed up and painted then set about making btrackets up for oil cooler and intercooler. before could lower cooler i needed some silicon hoses, cheers to david dixon for those

trial fitted the original bumper with reg plate and did not like how much they covered the intercooler so got the air saw out resulting in this

was not happy with the look to be honest thought it looked s**t so hacked the bumper some more and got a new reg plate

as soon as the front end was breathing properly i decided to up the boost so ordered some egay evo5 chips, with tx autosport fuel pressure reguator and kitting kit along with slim line fan seeing as old one melted to the turbo :roll: got a regal top hat too

didnt realise the difference between standard tophat and regal tophat :eek:

fitted all of the above, re routed and extended loom, ordered some silicon bends and hard pipe for intercooler so all hoses now replaced replacing the gash originals

now the car is off the road for winter awaiting an f28 with lightened flywheel and clutch, hybrid turbo, xe inlet cam and new seats

progress may be slow as im out of the country for a while but ill be ordering some bits and bobs so they waiting for me when im back, hopefully the matching rear seats will be ready from trimmists soon as im back, david dixon hopefully will have the sheet metal needed for the boot floor removal too then i can get the grinder out.
Undecided still regarding the turbo wether to go for the regal hybid kkk or turbo technics hybrid, what are people experience/opinions on them? i want a hybrid kkk so nothing else needs modifying seeing as everythin fits perfect since the front end was done for the intercooler

Will i wouldn't bother trying to get a hybrid KKK, they all full of crap! just get a full recon and see if you can get the inlet on the turbo flowed open.

not really mate, back seats are back from trimmers, fronts just need bolting in, bought an eds inlet manifold for it, some softstars and few more shiny bits. im working away until end of month then ill be working on it and post a few pics, im desperate for a gte grille for it but struggling

small update. Been working away since October so not had time to work on car to be honest. Only time i have had is to clean inner arches and paint silver to match car, not the best in the world but will do for now, car has had some welding in its time tho.

Also bought 2 grilles as mine is broken as seen in pic below, managed to get a mint silver one off ebay after over a year of looking then like public busses another one turned up on ebay, a brand new genuine grille still in packet, was too good not to get. This is the 1st time the car has seen daylight in over a year, thought it would be rude not to throw the softstars on and get a pic, its absolutely minging.

Can anyone recommend me an intercooler to upgrade from the frontera one im currently running? have enough room ar front due to crossmember being modified. Cheers in advance Will

cheers gareth i may as well keep the one i have then. currently looking at 4 pots for the front and disks for the back. ordering a billet flywheel and clutch this week too along with few other little bits to play with when im home in 2 weeks

another tiuny update, im home for a while as of friday so can start fitting the parts ive been collecting, also managed to get a kkk16/kkk24 hybrid turbo off fleebay for it, a rose jointed f28 linkage and a f28 6 speed from Will F so hopefully ill be able to get them all fitted once i get the car to the lock up next week. Ordering the adjustable pulley for xe inlet cam and 3 " downpipe for it this week, and hopefully David Dixon will have some metal for me for boot floor and a rear gearbox mount for me (hint hint) so will have pics very soon
