What documanets and stuff do you have to show the DVLA? I been on their website and can't find anything about it, only bout Kit cars.

A load of you must have done this.
Cheers.

you have to get the detals on the v5 logbook changed so i asume that its the same as change of ownership

yep as above mainly regarding, new engine number and cylinder capacity (cc's)

if you say put a 2.0l from a cavvy in a nova does your insurance go up to the same as a cavvy or even higher cos its the same power in a smaller car?

but yeah just change the stuff on the V5 document and send it back to them.

(or dont and drive round insured on a 1.0l or something but with a 2.0l turbo under the bonnet!. Plus cheap car tax!)

yeah, the only way they can tell if i got a 1.3 instead of 1.2 is the engine number, the actual block looks the same.

looks the same yes, but to a trained eye they can tell, but who cares its a nova they aint gona look

police aint stupid by the way, insuring a 2.0 as a 1.0 is a waste of your own time and money, the certificate id useless if you crash and u will get 6 points for driving with no insurance etc etc blah blah

yeah, i think i'll have to tell em if i do put a 1.3 in. Maybe not until i renew my policy in Nov though because i'm gonna change company's, and i havn't got enough money to change over now. Also i'll have a years NCB then hopefully.
hmm.. :| :?: :?:
