gearbox help

is it possable to change a f20 box on a nova with out dropping the engine out? i was gonna try and leave the engine mount bolted up and un-do the 2 gearbox mounts and let the engine down at a angle and slide box off and slide the new box on then just jack it back up line the mounts up and put bolts back in. is this possable? cheers :thumb:

if you are doing an identical box swap why not just remove the cluster? alot easier bud

i have never done that so not sure how its done? but i have done it now, but i fu##ed 1 of the inner cvs pullin the shaft out, but i have a spare set so just gotta change it over, all thats left is the starter, long shaft, and gear linkidge. then fill with gear oil and should be good to go. what gear oil do i need? cheers :thumb:
