Ok so its only a little 1.4 lx and never going to win any traffic light grand prix but will be fine for over winter.
After 20 mins on the jump leads it finally had enough to turn it over and it fired strait up which aint bad as its been left for the last 3 months in the garage.
So who else is getting there winter toys out with pics please.

imo the 206 is nicer even with the dent i dont see the issue of driving the lhd crx in winter it cant be as nice to drive as the 206
The crx was a bit funny at first to get use to but its fine now.The reason im using the 206 over winter is because if it does bounce over a kerb at some point i aint going to worry about to much as there are plenty in the breakers yards to rob bits from.
The wife has the 1.4 glx 206, IMO it's a great little car and more comfy than my S3 lol,
I don't do winter cars tho, I used to with the nova but now it's the audi everyday and in any conditions, I love it in the snow.
lol i have to agree when i saw the title and opened the thread and saw the trotters robin lookalike i thought it was a thread saying i have dug the CRX out to use over winter!
will be rollin in my 1.4 6n polo
Me or the nova are not looking forward to this winter,
gotta feeling its going to be a state come may time
Winter motors FTW. That 206 looks ideal Ernie. It's all well and good wanting to roll in your retro all year round, but when it comes out the other side the worse for wear and the sensible/those that are able to do it folks are bringing their older cars out of the garage unscathed it makes you wonder if it was worth it lol.
Hence the Volvo taking a nap this winter, I've put it through two harsh winters without it even being within 10 metres of a tin of underseal and I just know jack frost will kick it's ar$e this time around! lol
I know what you mean mate.
I want rid of my vectra and i want a winter egg tbf lol
Actually been looking on gaybay and pissedonheads for 1400 corsas:eek:

It's a car though it's meant to be driven, plus I'm not exactly flush atm and can't afford another car
But it's coming off the road in Jan anyway as that's when my insurance is up and the car needs some work for it's next MOT and I just don't have it in me any more to get it sorted - But maybe one day, time for the K reg to come out and play will happen...
The MK1 won't be out in the winter though, as your right it does kill them but it's good fun :)

vw fox? lol
Probably, I'm not bothered as long as its cheap to run.
I have a choice of cars at BMW like 3's, X1's & 1's, always go for a 118d as its cheap to run. Mind you the 123d I had last year was fun.

I can't afford winter transport so my bog standard pushrod Mk1 is going to be mine...God help me, the trouble I've had with it the last month or so.
Saying that though, on the aircleaner there's a little red gizmo that you can adjust from "summer running" to "winter running"

I'm Stuck with my petrol guzzling 206 gti, don't get me wrong i love it but it's costing me a small fortune to run. I am currently looking for a Frontera, since we moved my insurance has gone up so i'm hoping the jump from group 16 down to 10 will save me a little bit of money.
