View Full Version : my nova vs a mk2 golf

well was out with mates just on a drive then a mk2 golf come up side of me then all of a sudden he lost the back end of his car end up in taking my car with him spinnin me of the road and on to grass then back onto the road, his car was a mess and a write off lucky I could limp mine home.

Nothing major, a tailgate is easy to change :) lucky you weren't hurt though

Can be fixed in hours. Get the parts bought and get it fixed.

Did you a favour with regards to the rear lights.

you still got your shell lol, and what shocking modds?????

bolts thru the bumper,
eye brow things,
chrome washer jets,
smooth boot,
blacked out rear lights,
number plate bodged onto the bumper,
mk2 bumper on a mk1, <----- you need hanging for this one lol

it was a cheap bumper that come up so put it on and cos of the exhaust, yes bits will be change but lookin at it when i took the wing off it looked like the golf has bent then chase leg cos the wing doesn't sit flat so mite need a re-shell

umm and doesn't drive right felt like the wheels were goin to fall off but when takin the wheel off that took the hit nothing was bent tho

youve probs buckled the wheel or the even the tracking out feels dodgy over bumps

was thinkin the tracking cos it fills like its goin straight round a corner and will have to get the wheel checked out lucky i got a spare set of wheels

Thats not the chassis leg BTW. Thats the wing mounting panel....

sorry to hear about the crash,but atleast you wasnt hurt,ive see worse cars crashed cars than that go back on the road,thats a simple fix,but its if you wanna pay to get it done is the thing,people need to learn how to drive

1. the bottom arm is most likely bent...
2. isn't it funny that you simply happened to be out for a drive, not doing anything wrong, and a mk2 golf was so out of shape that it managed to lose the back end & hit you.....................
3. the car is an easy fix though & if the golf is a write off, then yippee

hopefully this means the rear bumper and bootlid will be replaced with standard items

and was you racing bled?! lol just seems a little coincidental that of all the cars that must have been on the road, the one car the Golf did hit was a chavved up Nova :wtf:

Mate depending on how much money you get off your mate, might be better off reshelling tbh, if you get it cheap enough, I know of a 2dr loon with 60k in chelmsford if your interested

the bloke in the golf wasn't a mate!! and I wasn't racing!!!! and sorry if my car doesn't meet your standards but I like my car how it was, I wanted to be different and put a mk2 bumper, but like the way you think I was racing just cos of how my car looked when It wasn't my fault it happen!!!!!

yea he come past at bout 70 mph on a daul carriage way, but I didn't no him

NOthing major there, infact it probably came off lightly. New wing the boot lid etc and it's sorted :)

lucky enough i have 2 poly bushed bottom arm's so will change them
