vauxhall nova 2.0l

with regret im selling mine as it will be sitting in my garage untill next year as the missus is haveing a baby, and need something with a few more seatslol , here goes.....

car is taxed until March next year and M.O.T runs out Feb next year, 5 previous owners on shell although there isnt one thing on it that is original, now the good bits......

Car is fully seem welded included inside of car with re-shaped rear turrets to take coil overs no rusty doors, full welded in omp rollcage, fibre glass bonnet and boot, quick release bumpers, full custom long life exhaust system (passes every noise test at any track day) Car is fully polly bushed alround, 2litre brake upgrade, perspex windows, avo coilovers, s r grill, single wiper conversion, momo steering wheel, heater in full working order unlike most XE`s! spare wheel pan removed and welded flats with aluminium airofoil underneath car with centre exit exhaust,faset fuel pump and swirl pot, braided lines throughout, that is all i can think of on the outside apart from 2 brand new tyres which havent even done any miles!!Battery located to boot, and SR clocks.

Engine Spec- Brand new timing belt and head gasket (full set) supplied by steve milton(c20let engine build specialist from essex) brand new radiator, low temp thermotstat, new plugs,leads,oil filter and mobil 1 oil, painted rocker cover and cam cover and the best bit jenvey throttle bodies,mbe management, ally strut brace,transmisson is f20 with running quaife atb with brand new gear oil and gear box oil seals, adjustable ally top struts and braided brake lines, the engine came from oliver hewit from png, am not sure off the rest of spec, ernie or oli may be able to help:cool:

wheels are now painted red as the yellow paint faded and the bonnet has been painted gloss white to match the car, only bad point is the bonnet isnt 100% match!
just had a complete brake rebuild including fuild and shoes ,and new front uniroyal rain ssport 2 tyres

price is £3500 ono

and is located in hockley essex

car has also just been rolling road set up with new omex throttle sensor, car is ready to race!

Smart nova and at a really good price IMO. good luck with selling it, I would buy it if I wasn't such a tight c@nt!

Engine is internally unmodified except for cams, they are Kent AST1612 cams as I fitted them, basically group N spec cams. It did run a custom Ashley manifold when Olz had it, not sure if you had that but I spy a lot of bits off Ollys car there lol

What power did it make back on the rollers ? any reason why the map needed tweeking ?

What power did it make back on the rollers ? any reason why the map needed tweeking ?the headgasket went and was replaced with a full headset from steve milton, and it wouldnt tick over, the base map was rubbish and it had a dodgy throttle sensor, new omex one fitted and remapped, it was set up with the bigger mainifold, so it needed a slight tweek, about 180bhp at the wheels. would make more with a bigger mainifold as i was told the on on it was restricting the power, its set up crisp now, and is a good reliable power for the engine!

Fair enough, no way will it be anywhere near 180hp @ wheels though, thats just optmistic rolling roads telling you that. Bit strange about the map as well as something had obviously changed ( dodgy sensor as you mention ) as it was perfect the night Olly had it mapped and just as perfect a year later, Steve knows how to map a engine and anyone that thinks different is trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

As an example my mates was 224hp which equated to 175 @ wheels.

Either way that engine did prove that nigh on 200hp was achieveable from just about a stock internalled xe and in a light car thats more than enough and cheap enough to look after.

PS not digging at you, just being realistic, its a good car and someone will get a load of enjoyment out of that.

The body shell, what condition is this in? is there any filler or new panels dodgy paint work etc anywhere on the car?

Granted its a track/toy so I expect some slight damage so could you list any paint/panel problems for me please.

Do you have any rolling road result print outs at all.

the buyer was from chelmsford essex called liam, he is a member on here, not sure of his user name, came round with pound notes, and not a messer witch is what i wanted, was sad to see it go of down the road, longest ive ever owned one:( ! will miss that one, was the best ive had, but hey hoe, onwards and upwards, on the look out for an original sr, gte, or sri!! let the hunt beginlol lol

Standard Sr/Gte sounds good :thumb:its for the family, still always be a nova man, mini maris needs a seat and the track car only had two:( ,and in my opinon two many novs get broke, so wanted it sold whole for someone else to enjoy! hopefully it stays within the site:cool:
