Right i have seen Mk4 astras with Let's in so i know its possible to put a C20XE in but:

Is it as simple as say a nova?

Can you buy mounts?

Anyone got any information on this conversion or can point me in the right direction i would appriciate it

just done some quick google searching!

quotes,

The drivers side mount isnt just a case of bolting on a mount, this is why you could do with looking at it really, you have to go through the cambelt cover with it.
Other 2, assuming you are on a bigblock motor, you can just use the standard gearbox ones, and use the gearbox again too for that matter, so hence use all the original shafts etc.
Getting the wiring into the cabin is a PITA as well, you arent spoilt for choice on where to route it.

IIRC the engine slips in a treat, just have to modify timing cover as the engine mount locates there?

308's will i think go under SRi rims , but double check.

Hardest part was wiring the electrics , so everything worked, i think i struggles with the temp gauge? Again so long ago, but can put you in touch with a vaux specialist who could help you!

i agree,

and plug. no. you can mount it anyway you like. in the second like there is some of the shelf mount, but it requires a tap into the block, through the cambelt cover!

doesnt seem to easy tbh.
and if it was me i would be asking over 1k (declared to the tax man obs!!!)

and yes, an ecotec turbo should be alot easier.

will see if i can blag him into either a v6 eco or turbo eco

Im guessing the x25xe is near enough bolt in as normal

IMO if i was doing an engine swap on a mk4 it would have to be a zlet. Nothing less.

its really easy to do mate use f23 box weld on a mount to the o/s leg like a nova/corsa set up and its in. mount ecu at back of the clocks.

Sloth

/\ what he said, you use a corsa b type 2 mount. both parts.

mine is a let but same mounts. mine is the mtec mount and sits real nice in the bay but you do have to drill and tap into the head to mount and cut the belt cover. http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss197/novalewis/008-3.jpg
