+1 to that, an use a shrader valve adapter for a piece of pish fuel line installation too.

just to clarify is that the one that taps onto the fuel rail bleed valve?

mike means 100bhp of n2o, 50 bhp of fuel, iirc.

you wont get a better delivery with anything but a controller, it puts less strain on the motor.

I get what you mean now cheers!

The kit I've got comes with 25 50 and 75 bhp jets but I think il be trying the 50bhp ones to start with untill I can afford a decent controller.

Whatever power shot you want to run, half it an thats the fuel jet size.

good man, and remember, get it set up on a RR. make sure shes not lean, or pistons will turn into round melted puddles of poo.

Retard the timing by 2degree aswell.

100 N2O 50 Fuel
Has he even said what kit he has ?

Is it a NOS, WON, NX kit ? from what I remember only WON use jet numbers like you have mentioned.

2:1 ratio is ok for a 3 bar setup, going to be quite rich on boost though, its safe but is unlikely to give maximum gains.

If your not running them already fit some NGK BCR8ES spark plugs gapped to 0.6mm.

Don't worry about pulling any timing out, you can't anyway but you don't need to even if you could.

Get a pressure gauge for the bottle, if you jet it on a cold day and the bottle pressure is low then on a warmer day the pressure is high the engine could lean out but it won't on 100/50 jets.

My advice would be to get a bottle heater and a gauge, keeps everything consistant and means you get the most out of the setup.

Not a let but I fitted a kit to a Volvo 340 the other month, its running a F7P Clio engine, thats on 50 shot but were on 100/40 jetting and its spot on.

The kit iv got is a zex wet kit the bottle holds 10lbs of gas but he didn't state the bottle size..

Iv got to pick it up on Friday so il post a few pics up!

I need the valve for the fuel take off where's the beat place to get one??

Jonlem

Take the fuel from the rail, just remove the centre of the valve and get a adaptor from that to the fuel solenoid.

Dont put the jet facing directly at the throttle flap, ive heard a couple of horror stories of poeple doing it an the throttle flap freezing in position when its at WOT.

Either in the intake hose before the top hat or in the hat bouncing off the side somewhere.

Personally I'd have it on the pipe going in allowing it some time to mix

Sloth

aye, id put itin the top hat but furthest away from the tb. :)

Danb1987

Makes sense I think il put it just where the top hat meets the boost pipe.

I think I'm gonna need a few hints and tips off you lot when I install it tbf itl not be for a while yet... But all help is welcome

Sorry for going off topic, but i was thinking about fitting nitrous oxide to my c20Xe on carbs it's a fairly high spec engine, first question is, is it possible to do so 2. what should i look for (list if you could)3. what sort of hp jets would be "safe" . I was going to look for a second hand kit on eBay etc, having no experience of it i haven't a clue what to look for and what to buy and not to buy.

Braked rollers are a no no, personally I wouldn't trust anymore than what the plugs look like which is easy enough to do on the road.

If you need a kit, PM me, I have a spare Wizards Of Nos kit here and can supply any extras you may want with that.

For Carbs you will need a direct port kit ( a injector for each trumpet basically )

am i right in thinking sheileded nose plugs are needed?

Jonlem
07-10-10, 03:50 PM
Shielded nose ?

non protruding (sp) plug tips you mean ? if so yes as the normal type can act as a hot spot.

Danb1987

You wouldn't happen to have a spare shrader valve for the fuel take off would you??

Just rang John noble motorsport to see about a dyno tune they've quoted around £180 for a set up

My car spec as is....
Standard I think apart from..
Medium fmic
Baileys chav valve

Parts to be fitted..

Saab reds
3" downpipe
Rs turbo plugs
Zex wet nitrous kit 25/50/75bhp jets

Parts wanted
Phase 2 maybe 3 chipset
3" intercooler pipework
3" tophat

Sloth
07-10-10, 03:55 PM
why saab reds? std lets are good for evo 5's....

Danb1987
07-10-10, 03:57 PM
Just got them pretty cheap.. And iv seen a few people using them.... Do I not need to use them?

I'm not looking for massive power tbf 250 would be nice...

Sloth
07-10-10, 03:59 PM
they overfule unless you have a huge amount of air going in. on a std kkk youll be fine on std injectors.

Jonlem
07-10-10, 04:11 PM
Don't fit the injectors unless your on a adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Also forget the dyno tune for the nitrous, just tune it yourself

Jonlem

I've got a LET ecu with a Evo 5 chipset if your interested

It's for the road + the odd track day, no quarter miles.

Danb1987
07-10-10, 04:27 PM
Mines gonna be for the mile and road use so I'm pretty sure I'm staying with 50bhp shots

Tune it myself? Help/ suggestions please?

I think I'm gonna be selling the Saab reds then tbf not going down the new turbo route untill I need to.
