Fault Code 47

I have a nova GSI and the Managment light is on, when i flash the codes its coming up with code 47 EGR. I didn't know these cars had EGR, anyone else had this problem and has anyone any ideas how to sort it as the light is driving me mad

Its running a c16se as far as i no as its on its 3rd engine, its a c16se from an mk3 astra running all ancillarys from the nova, there are some block differences like no hole for the knock sensor but it does fit and work (Knock sensor fitted). The cvar had no faults listed before i fitted the new blco and now it has this egr code.

EGR Blank off Tried, drove the same with no problems but the light is still on, when you reset the ecu the light goes off for 3 seconds then comes back on, same code

Ours did the same, it must have took 200'ish miles to go off, but not it's (almost) permanently off.

Does it idle/rev any better? Did you leave all the EGR pipes connected?
