I'd start off with a low powered AE86 and learn to drift by initiating with the handbrake and when you can drift that good and dont need to use the handbrake to start a drift(only to prolong the drifts) i'd then move onto a 350z or a E46 M3.

And remember power isnt everything ;)

AE86 is a pretty safe bet tbh. S13's pretty good aswell. Make sure you upgrade everything on handling and give yourself a bit of negative camber, more on the back. Start with reasonable low power, around 200, and work up to around 450, anything more is a waste as you can't use it all anyway and if you hit full throttle you'll proabably spin out.

The best track to practice on is Fujimi Kaido, but don't do the full track at first as you'll get bored. Do different sections.
When i drift i use Manual with Clutch as i can kick the back end out easier by using the clutch to build up the revs first, but you should start off by using just Manual, then start using the clutch.
Make sure you don't have Traction Control or Stability Control on. Keep ABS on at first until you start to use the clutch then take it off.

Once you start getting better, cars like an S15, E30 M3, or even something like a RWD Civic are good cars to use, but asling as it's set up right and RWD anything will drift, it's just what you prefer at the end of the day. Personally i think the E30 M3 is the best drift car on the game, but other people will find that different car's and different set ups are better.

Now gunna whore some pictures from my Storefront lol

Well 4x4 aint really drifting, just because itll give you points for it...

Lots of stuff you can do, more -ve camber on the rear to make it slide easier on lower powered cars, toe the rear wheels i 1/2 a degree or so to make the slide a bit more stable, a lot of what will make a car controllable when sliding/ flicking is in the balance between spring rates front to rear and the damping settings make a big difference to how easy the car is to catch when you transition

I personally reckon you wont go far wrong with an s-body, e30 m3, ae86, etc, but anything can work with the right setup, eg the M5 stock is a beyatch to hold a slide in without bogging down, but if you screw the settings over itll go sideways real nicely.

Most of my drift cars are 550-600 ish points, but some stuff will be perfectly capable at lower numbers eg 450ish AE86/Chevelle will skid as good as a 550-600 point e36 m3
