Tellin' me it's a fuckin disease! Been told i'd get mine back 'by the end of the week' last time i asked if it's nearly done. 8 weeks later, i'm still waiting.

Only bothered cos i wanna get a new car now, but i haven't even got mine back, and i don't really wanna sell it straight away, as i'll probably only get what i paid just for the bodywork alone for it. So might as well drive it about for a few months first. Wanna get those 'few months' ou the way.

Also, my MoT ran out a few weeks ago, so when i get it back i won't be able to drive the fucker until i've got it MoT'd as i used to get a producer a week before, and it'll stand out more now. Bollocks.

Mine was a case of 'here's a list of what i want doing, gimme a ring when it's done and tell me how much paper you want.' Maybe i went wrong when i said 'don't rush, i want it done properly' Though i did say that i get impatient waiting for things.

Haven't even got it back yet, and already decided i won't like it (the rear spoiler will, erm, spoil it) and been looking at other cars/at what else i can do/change.

been onto the bodyshop, front end has been finished welding an now is nearly a completely new one, the rear arches needed renewing so that is being done today so all being well can start to get things moving monday night, got to get doors off new ones de-locked then fit everything on an get ready for filler & sprayin.

Keep checking up on it every day, so that way they'll work faster.

don't slate me for the double posting everyone but wanted to push it back to the top!
after sitting down an havin a chat with the owner of the bodyshop an realising it aint never gonna be done in time a compramise (spelling) has been made.
all being well the rear arches will be welded in place by the end of this week an the new/replacement parts ready for sprayin.
the idea is: instead of fitting the kit now, get the car sprayed in it's final colour then put the original mk2 bumpers back on leaving the skirts off an go to the pv show like that then put it back into the bodyshop for the kit the day after.
what does everyone think??!

just out of interest, what bodyshop is this and how much are you paying for the arches and re-spray?

id really try and push the bodyshop

its better to have the kit fitted if not sprayed, as a kinda work in progress kinda thing???
