I know this gets asked over and over but what do i need from a cavvy to transplant the 2.0 8v engine into my 1.2 nova.

welding in the bay, fuel pumps and lines ect ect. Gearbox and linkage, exhaust?

Anyone know where there is a guide or previous posts.

Also what would i need to do to change the brakes over?

master cyclinder etc etc.

Considering it cos the 1.2 isn't running well with the 1.3 carb (cos i haven't changed the jets).

My mates mam is desperatley trying to get rid of her cavy SRI (that has a new engine from vauxhall with only 7000 miles on) and she is basically throwing it away.

I am considering you now.....

(bumps to top of the list)

Please help me!

What engine mounts and stuff are needed? What do i do about the exhaust!

can i still use the fuel lines from the 1.2.

this sri is still for sale and am wondering whethere to buy. What else do i need other than the SRI any other car bits??

Also would a G-max kit be a good idea for the extra weight??

TUTUTUT !

>>> Please help me!

Speak to me on MSN!

>>> What engine mounts and stuff are needed?

Use the nova ones. one hole wont line up - enlarge it, use a washer JIC to prevent bolt pulling through, and bolt up tight

>>>> What do i do about the exhaust!

cut and shut both cav and nova exhaust

use cav manifold and down pipe, then just after the bend use flexible hose (metallic!) to join to nova system.

can i still use the fuel lines from the 1.2.

youd be mad not to its dead easy

>>> What else do i need other than the SRI any other car bits??

fuel pump, wiring loom

>>>> Also would a G-max kit be a good idea for the extra weight??

cheers mike thats solved a lot of my problems.

I will have to speak to you on MSN.

PS the cavvy is going for ?300 but i am not sure if its worth it just for the engine and brakes??

Oh one more question.

Gearbox linkages??

youll understand when you do it, but you need to shorten the linkage that as its too long and his the steering rack, so u need to shorten it at the bottom, so it pulls the top of the ball joint out wards away from the bulkhead,

else youll find you have gears 2 and four and nothing else.

id say its worth it depending on condition of the engine really
