Oh well as you say you've moved on etc

To do the damage shown high speed and stupidity were involved no doubt

lol

If your that gay i suppose;)

The prices are mental.

Bare engine £150 (Snapped cams and full to the lip with water)

Gearbox £80

Loom is all cut up

AVO coilovers are both knackered.

Rear springs have gone

Wheels £40 a rim (only 2)

Handbrake £20

Totally mental prices.

I offered £80 for the engine and box, than he named the prices, I just laughed an walked away:thumb:

Mike

Not that young.

Not inexperianced

And no where near died:roll:

It was 2 broken legs?

And yeah, 60mph in a nova does that.

I hit a wall at 20mph and it destroyed half the front end

Mike
02-10-10, 03:52 PM
And yeah, 60mph in a nova does that.

Saxo's are definetly built stronger then!

Connor
02-10-10, 03:52 PM
i agree with matt, i crashed at 15mph and it crumpled lol
if he hit a tree at over 60 in a nova you will no doubt be dead lol
also looks worse because hes been cut out

What I call a 'proper job'.

He even managed to break the battery & bend the steering wheel.

Mike
02-10-10, 04:14 PM
Judging by the panel gaps I think its safe to say anything in the engine bay wont be salvagable.

Edd
02-10-10, 04:16 PM
Who said he was doing 60 ? The driver, who obviously would say that, or accident investigator ?

Many years ago I crashed a nova at 50 into a ditch and didn't look anything like that

I take it the lad driving has recovered then ?

I dunno, assume he has.

And IIRC it was the police who said 60

Looking at the sill, I'd say it went sideways into a tree/lamp post.

Its hard to really be accurate when the fiure brigade have done such a sterling job disguising it as anything but a vehicle.

for those who say it wasnt 60 because you've hit walls at X amount of speed blah blah!!! walls move, trees dont!! 60-0 instantly is an insane amount of energy and force. extremely lucky to be alive imo

^^ yup! i've seen cars that have hit trees at 60mph and people are lucky to get out alive. if he was actually doing 60 when he hit the tree hes very lucky to be alive and the nova held up better then i would expect one to.

RossRog

it was mate, an rear bumper braided hoses random stuff like that.

my first thoughts when we walked up to it was you could'nt have been here yet alot of stuff seems to still be on the car!

i took the coilovers off to have a look how bad they were seemed bent so did'nt want to chance it.
