Hi ppl,
I bought a red sun strip and with the left overs made some light brows.
When its dark and I've got my headlights on they glow up so much it looks f'n awesome.
The problem is though before I did this I had some red LED washer jets and got a 30quid fine for these. Do you guys know if my lights brows are legal?
cheers

The only colours you are allowed to display:
- on the front of your car is white (apart from orange indicators)
- on the side of your car is orange
- on the rear of the car is red, or orange (white only for reverse which is not required by law anyways)
Anything else, and you'll prolly be pulled over.

it's illigal if red light shines out the front but if you put like a black out film on the back of it so no light can get through it's safe enough

There is currently a fashion to fix coloured lights on cars. Often, these will consist of blue lights on the front screen washer jets. Generally speaking, this type of light is not illegal, but we advise you to read the details below.
The law on this area is governed by the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989.
In simple terms, the regulations state that a red light cannot be shown to the front but any other colour can (with certain restrictions). However only a red light can be shown to the rear (again with certain exceptions). Therefore, to display a blue light or any other colour than red to the front is generally not an offence.
The regulations do restrict the fitting of moving lamps and revolving or flashing blue lights, and state that lamps must show a steady light and not cause undue dazzle or discomfort. Most lamps fitted to front screen washer jets are unlikely to infringe these regulations.
incase your too stupid to read that, it says that led washer jets are not illegal, but if youve got them, you deserve to go to prison or be shot in my opinion anyway.
