My 1.2i has probems when it is really wet. I asume this is moisture getting into the ignition system. I had covered it all with holst damp start but, today at rush hour at a busy roundabout it stopped and nothing!!!
I pushed it to a car park and gave up, came home.

i put wd 40 in the distributor (it has a damp shield cover inside, is this any good?) I also sprayed the leads and coil, the rain was wild and it just wouldn't go so will try tomorrow.

Is there any particular part in this system which is sucptable to moisture trouble?
Has anyone else had the same problems with these injection engines?

if the problem persists mate just get a can of damp start and spray it on all your electricts just to be safe it basically waterproofs everything

Thanks for this guys, it actually went today after I cleaned the dizzy but I will get a new one anyway, it was pretty stressful in the torential rain, friday 4.30pm at a busy junction, having to get out and push it uphill, I wa not happy!
