change the fluid and bleed as a matter of course, check the condition of the pads and fit braided hoses it not fitted already

You don't need different hoses for 2.0 calipers, Goodridge make braided hoses - same ones fit any nova. Always some on ebay, and most performance parts places will sell them too.

Gte/Gsi servos will make a small amount of difference IMO due to them being slightly larger

a very small difference but will only affect the pedal effort required not actual braking. There is far more to be gained by fitting quality pads and hoses, decent fluid and basically everythings as it should be

it all depends on which calipers & discs you have

that kit will be fine. i won't even attempt to give advice on pads, as i just have genuine gm ones on mine & they work fine

GM pads fade easily & chuck out masses of black dust. Good from cold though.

Switching servo will do feck all. Certainly not worth the 2 hours work involved.

Thanks what pads would u suggest then ?

brake dust is actually over 90% steel i.e. from the disc, and not from the pads.

mintex pads are pretty good if your wanting to stay with fairly standard stuff. if you want something to relieve you of more money for little benefit then try EBC 'green stuff' pads.

imo the 2.0 brakes with 256x24mm discs are plenty good enough for a car as light at a nova. so long as the calipers are in good condition, with new discs and pads and fresh brake fluid, all fitted correctly and greased up, then they are perfectly good and still slightly overspecced tbh
