f16 with 4.01 fd?

i heard that theres f16 boxes with an fd of 4.01 and a top speed of around 125mph anyone heard of or has one of these?:thumb:

The closest bigblock box vauxhall produced..? That's from an Astra 1800 GTE MK1 typically and I can report good things bonded to an xe. The 125 will depend on rev limit but 135 isn't out of the equation.

what number is it, is it still called an f16?

Dunno about numbers but yes it's still stamped as an F16.

Think the only other car to leave the factory with it was the MK2 Cav SRi 130.

Vauxhall did produce a F16 with a 4.18 Final drive

Can't remember the exact model (poss Mk 2 Astra Van D !) but don't think you will ever find one - I bought a brand new 4.18 Crown wheel and main shaft many many years ago from vauxhall - was an opel import but only 4 left in germany !! - And built this into an F16 box which was fitted to Brett Warburtons Green Nova :)
