View Full Version : Off the road
Basically my nova is off the road in my garage til april mot time now,is there any chance my insurance company would reduce the premium as its off the road or have i more chance of knitting fog?
you can get off road insurance, iirc flux do it mate. as do soem classic car guys.
im not on about changing policy.im with sky, just seems daft paying out £xx per month for a car that doesnt get used and has absolutely zero chance of being stolen, only reason i want to keep the policy running is because it costs money to cancel and i have 0 ncb and need to keep the policy in order to get the 1yr ncb
Laid up cover is what you're after.
Some insurance companies might gripe about it though. If thats the case, consider reducing the cover to a very limited mileage policy, TPF&T, garaged etc
so would they allow me to change to laid up cover?? Its currently on axle stands,engine-less,doesnt get much more laid up lol
Possibly. Can't hurt to ask.
I found it made naff all difference on ins from 0miles per year to 4999miles a year lol
Sky dont offer laid up cover.
Said my best bet was to "run a cheap car" til Nova emerges from its hibernation
