Sports Exhaust

My Nova has a 4 to 1 manifold fitted to a 1.2 engine. The car had (and still has) a bog standard exhaust. If I want to get a sports exhaust, for example, a Sportex system, should I state a 1.2 engine or go for the 1.3?

The reason I ask is that the 4 to 1 manifold looks longer than the one in my Haynes manual.

This leads me to believe that it may have been taken off a 1.3SR. (Did SR's come fitted with 4to1s?)

Help please!

PS My 4 to 1 isn't stainless and is a rustly red/orange colour.

the 1.3sr came with a 4-2-1. Instead of getting a 4-1 sports manifold for the 1.2 try getting the whole system from a GTE or something better with a 4-2-1. This will add performance and for looks and sounds just get a back box as they are all the same for novas.
