Hi, was just wondering if any1 could shed any light as to how much bhp my engine will be producing, the spec is as follows...

1.3sr engine (13sb)
4 branch manifold (sportex i think)
webber 32/36 with port matched manifold
lightened flywheel
kent ast1 cam
head skimmed to limit
kent vernier pully
and i think it has recently been rebuilt on the bottom end as there is still honing marks in the cylinders.
any reply would be greatly appreciated
cheers tom :)

perhaps 100bhp if setup by someone good.

A mate had similar spec but 1.4 with standard cam and was 98bhp so I'd imagine something around that.

lol "limit" is just about catching the spark plugs, i didnt intend to have it skimmed that much but it would appear that it has been done a few times before by previous owners, i`ll see if its ok tommorow when i come to start it for the first time lol but if near 100bhp ill be very happy :thumb:

Timing can be quite critical on the 1300's for good power figures. So swinging the dizzy & setting it up instead of a straight power run will no doubt reap the best rewards. I broke a 1400SR that had a weber & Jetex mid pipe with a Novatech print out for 99bhp.

lol havnt got a dremel, and im hoping they dont hit but if they do ill just have to fit extra washers or something, and i`d be happy with a genuine 85-90bhp but i`ll have to see how it goes, ive still got to overcome 1 or 2 problems yet as its in a corsa b so i wont find out for a day or 2

well im slightly worried about the timing as im using the dizzy off the corsa as the sr 1 wouldn`t plug and play into the corsa loom

em fit washers to what ? lol he means fit washers on the spark plugs to hold it out about 3mm so it doesnt hit the pistons

As has been said, depends if it's run on comedy rollers or not.

Who knows though, 90bhp maybe?
