I hate scooters and peds, but i do know of a lad with a bright green italijet dragster thing with a 180cc engine and that bugger went well. Kicked the **** outta my 125 SM ****ter. Couldnt touch the zx6r tho pmsl.
i had an aprilia RX50 whin i was 16 (all of 3 years ago lol) made a dizzying 5bhp with a full stainless system and the restrictors removed lol

mopeds are gay, i waited till i was 17 and got a 1980 honda cg lol
maybe not as quick as a moped but it sounded better lol
quick 'de baffle' of the exhaust made it sound right beefy
also had an 1980s c90 which was foobared, got bored of trying to get it road legal so gave it to the work experiance lad and he has put nobblies on it and uses it for the fields

Had a Suzuki Katana AY50 when i was 16. Bought it brand new (god knows why lol) Put a Gianelli pipe on it, rollers etc. But this was before the chav invasion.
I then had a Yamaha Areox 50 a few years back, this was to enable me to re take my CBT so i could do my full bike license though. Valid reason IMO!!!
Brains - very nice, vespa isnt it?

If you had said CBR600RR this reply of mine would have been a marriage proposal.

aw, i'd have said yes as well :(
i did get it when i was 18 though, seemed little point in *ahem* 'restricting' a 600 for an A1 licence lol it still keeps up with the midlife crisis brigade on their litre bikes on the twistys :d

not enough money in that lol
and i saw a program where they said taxi operators earn on average 28k, and we'd been watching these blokes coming out of mansions & climbing into their cabs to do a shift.......cash rich job eh?

I had a runner before i passed my driving test, had a 70cc kit on along with rollers and an exhaust, I fell off a fair few times, but it went well until the piston melted after a water leak, the cloud of smoke in my wake was immense lol

Them programs are rubbish,i know loads of cabbies, which earn between 50 and 60k a year, have you ever seen a skint cabbie i aint
28k was what the tax man saw.. then there is all the backhanders to the door men to get the decent fares.......

Its up to them the way they do it,but the money can be earned there tho
i had a suzy a1, then a cub 110 with knobblies for avoiding thwe cops cross country, then an yamaha 250 crosser, then a 450 crosser then my triumph t110. i want a rocket gold star or a enfiled bullet cafe racer now

variators are amazing creations, allowing the engine to run constantly at the optimum rpm for peak power, and are always in the correct gear, and with heavier weights will keep changing the gearing untill it runs out of movement, so that sort of (indicated) speed is certainly possible.
and its only illiegal to de-restrict a moped or exceed 33mph if your 16 with a CBT. i have a full bike licence, so i could ride a 50cc moped at mach 3 if i wanted to/could

Which part is wrong?
a 16 year old can only ride a bike with some thing like50cc 6.3 bhp and at 17 on a cbt you can only ride a bike of 125cc or lower 13.3 bhp untill you pass your bike test then you can ride a bike up to 33bhp any engine size

And in english??? lol
What you have replied with is what is stated above, no?

at 16, you can ride a 50cc on L plates after passing the CBT, power is not mentioned, however top speed is to be limited to 33mph
at 17, you can ride a 125cc on L plates,
OR at 17 you can do your full bike test, and ride any bike restricted to 33bhp, for 2 years. after those 2 years you are free to ride whatever you like
my point was its only illegal for a 16 y/o to derestrict a moped, as a holder of a full bike licence i could de-restrict a 50cc moped and ride it perfectly legally. i maintain what i said, 5 posts up
^^^ this man speaks sence
