Anyone had any problems with Thurlby

Bought a towbar off them for the vectra on ebay, but the item in the box wasnt as they described spoke to them on friday and they said they would send a courier to collect and once back id get a full refund, there was no collection on friday and still nothing yesterday so gave them a call again this morning was told the same again this morning will be collected today so heather has sat in for 3 days now and we still have a useless towbar, getting peed off now and to top it off called them tonight when i got in to be told the ebay department closes at 3 on a tuesday, grrrrr im getting mad now lol

i know its not the point, but Vec GSi's cant have a towbar with any vaux backbox/.

they can ernies estate proves it plus mine is already drilled so has had one in the past, according to the vectra forum you can fit it with the standard gsi back box by denting the back box or switch to an sri box, as gsi's were sris when they went to msd

i had to fit a small aftermarket backbox on mine.

Dont fit with the SRi box on GSi bumper, IIRC its same box, the problem is the exhaust hangs lower to clear the splitter thing on the bumper, and that makes it hit the towbar.

But yeh you can bodge it with a hammer.

No company lists a towbar for GSi.

mines a phase 2 and dosent have the extra skirt so we will see it will fit some how

gsi box on phase 2 at least is a scorpion were as sris mainly had the irmcher box but there was a standard exhaust 2 but few had them

the later gsis like mine didnt have the rear bumper apron it was optional mine dosent have one so should be easier as its just a standard bumper

all collected today so just need to go nottingham and pick the new corrext bar up now

nah its ok mate im off on saturday morning so i can get it on while im pissing about doing other stuff for it this weekend.

well went and got my towbar this morning all fitted no bodging of the exhaust was needed straight fit, phase 2s must be easier than phase 1s to get a bar on, also managed to sort a few nigles so just got to refit the drive shaft and power steering pipe tomorrow and she is finaly ready for the mot, couldnt resist a good bit of v6 raw on the drive too and it stoped alex from crying guess he approved lol
