View Full Version : gsi vent's ???
ive just bought a nova bonnet with mk3 astra gsi vent's cut in
just woundered should there be a tray etc under the vent to catch water etc
or are then meant to be open so you can see in
thanks:thumb:
theres meant to be a plastic drip tray
can you still buy these from vauxhall?
thanks
do you still have the 90mm trumpets?
not sure, but i prob have a set of drip trays somewhere- i'll have a look for you
Wouldn't have said it was essential tbh, I've got a massive hole in the top of my bonnet right over a turbo and never had a problem with water in the engine bay. Aside from the odd little spatter of rust on the heatshield lol
jack, gsi vents are usually fitted on novas between the headlamps & the strut tops, there isn't usually much heat there to get rid of the wet...
i dont want the water holding behind the headlight etc then rotten in the long run :)
Mine didnt have the drip trays, but i would advise getting them as the water did used to sit behind the headlights and generally get everywhere
